Berkeley County commercial projects. For a commercial project, the county asks for (Berkeley County):
- Planning Commission approval before plans come in
- One set of detailed commercial plans, per the county's current checklist
- Every subcontractor listed with a WV contractor license number
- Approval from the State Fire Marshal's office
That's for commercial projects in general, not a rule written for doors. Ask the provider whether your door job falls under it.

Martinsburg's posted permit fee. For remodeling, repair, or replacement work, the city's code lists a building permit fee of $7.50 per $1,000 of value. There's also a $5 application fee when the work is over $5,000 (City Code § 1761.02, passed 2004, as posted). That's a general permit fee, not the price of a door. Confirm the current fee with the city.
