Call to describe the problem—if the door is stuck open or the dock is down, say so first.

How this works, in one paragraph

This page lists where Uptime takes service-request calls. The independent provider confirms the facility address and whether it can schedule the job. We do not draw a drive-time circle on a map and we do not promise a truck. The county grouping below is a geographic reference, taken from the federal delineation of the Denver-Aurora-Centennial, CO metropolitan statistical area (OMB Bulletin No. 23-01, July 21, 2023, checked September 18, 2026). It is not a commercial boundary.

Which permit office matches which town

In the Denver metro, the office that issues a commercial door permit depends on the parcel, not the mailing address. Denver, Aurora, Commerce City, Thornton and several other cities run their own building departments and their own contractor licensing. The counties permit only unincorporated areas. Confirm the jurisdiction before anyone orders a door.

The absence of permit guidance here does not mean a permit is not required. Ask the office that covers the parcel, and ask the company doing the work to confirm it is licensed where your building sits. The provider and the issuing office confirm it — this page does not decide anything about your door.

Towns just outside the ten counties

Facilities in Boulder County (Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Erie), Weld County (Greeley, Fort Lupton, Firestone, Frederick, Dacono, Platteville), Larimer County (Loveland, Fort Collins, Windsor), El Paso County (Colorado Springs, Monument, Fountain), Morgan County (Fort Morgan) and Teller County (Woodland Park) may use the same kinds of commercial dock-and-door equipment. Requests from those areas are reviewed case by case — call and give the address, and the provider confirms whether it can take the job.

Local pages

  • Aurora — spans three counties, licenses its own contractors with a public lookup, defers to the state for electrical and plumbing, and has its own 2026 electrical code date.
  • Commerce City — its own Building Safety Division and licensing via eTRAKiT. A Denver license does not carry here.
  • Thornton — its own posted code effective dates, and a city spanning two counties.
  • Englewood — the city publishes its own warning that an Englewood mailing address is often not Englewood at all.
