If a rolling door is stuck open where the building is exposed — a street frontage, an outside yard, an overnight shift ending — say that first on the call. It changes what the request needs. Is a roll-up door the same as a rolling steel door?
Close enough for a phone call. Both roll a single curtain onto a barrel. "Rolling steel" usually means heavier interlocking slats; "roll-up" often means a lighter corrugated sheet. Both are covered here.
The curtain is out of the guides — can we force it down?
No. Running it again is how a fixable curtain becomes a replacement. Leave it where it is, keep people clear, and take the opening out of use by your facility's existing process.
How do we know if ours is fire-rated?
Look for a metal label on the curtain, hood or guide, a fusible link in the release chain, or a release box. If you find one, or if you are not sure, say so when you call — it changes who is allowed to work on it.
