Dock bumpers take the hit when a trailer backs in. When they're worn down or torn off, trailers start hitting the dock face, the leveler lip, and the building.

How do I know if a dock seal needs repair or replacement?
If only the fabric cover is torn, the pad can sometimes be recovered. If the foam is crushed flat or the seal no longer fits the trailers you get, it usually needs replacing. The provider can tell you which.
What's the difference between a dock seal and a dock shelter?
A seal presses foam pads against the trailer to close the gap. A shelter uses a frame and curtains that drape over the trailer without pressing on it. Shelters leave more room around the trailer opening.
