For commercial dock & door service companies

Become an Uptime Partner: Territories & Requirements

Bottom line: Uptime partnerships are for operating companies that service commercial loading docks, dock doors, overhead doors, or related industrial equipment. Send us your service area and the work your team handles. We'll review the territory fit and discuss the arrangement before you commit.

You keep your company name, set your own repair prices, and decide which work you can accept. You do not need to buy a website to explore a partnership.

Your business. Your service scope. Clear terms before the partnership starts.

Check partnership availability for your service area

A territory should match the places your team can actually serve—not simply the largest area you can draw on a map.

Tell us where you operate and which commercial equipment you support. We review that combination alongside the proposed inquiry route and any existing partnership scope. Availability is confirmed for your area and services before an arrangement is agreed.

You can inquire about one metro, a regional service area, or several branches. An area does not have to appear on Uptime already for you to tell us you serve it.

What to include about your territory

Territory details to include in a partnership inquiry
Territory detailWhat to tell us
Main operating areaYour base city and state, plus the towns, counties, ZIP codes, or practical travel radius you cover.
Urgent repair coverageWhere you can consider urgent work and the hours your team actually handles those requests.
Scheduled-service coverageAny additional areas you serve for planned visits, maintenance, or other agreed work.
Equipment or travel exclusionsAreas you do not travel to, equipment you do not handle, and any limits that change by service type.
Multiple branchesWhich branch covers each area and whether equipment capabilities or receiving hours differ.

You do not need to prepare a map or a territory proposal. Start with the area you routinely cover. Add the exceptions that would make an incoming request unsuitable.

What does an “open territory” mean?

It means an area and service scope can be discussed for a potential partnership. It does not mean the area has been reserved for your company, has guaranteed inquiry volume, or automatically comes with exclusive rights.

A published Uptime metro page is not a live partner-availability record. The relevant questions are whether the proposed scope is available, whether your team can support it, and whether the terms work for both businesses.

That is why the next step here is a territory inquiry rather than an automatic reservation.

Can one company serve several metros?

Yes. Describe the coverage your business can support, including which team would receive and handle requests in each area. Several branches can have different service scopes; they do not have to be treated as one undifferentiated territory.

The same applies to a specialist covering a wider region for scheduled work but a smaller area for urgent repairs. Tell us the difference so the proposed arrangement reflects it.

What your company needs to bring to a partnership

The starting point is an operating commercial service business with a defined territory, relevant equipment capabilities, and a practical way to handle new requests.

You do not have to service every type of dock or door equipment. A focused specialist can describe a focused scope. A broader operator can identify the work each team handles.

Commercial capabilities you can describe accurately

Tell us what your team services and which activities it accepts: repairs, scheduled service, maintenance, replacements, or another specifically supported activity.

Be clear about exclusions. Commercial overhead-door work does not automatically establish dock-leveler capability. Residential garage-door experience does not, by itself, describe a company's industrial equipment scope.

If you claim manufacturer authorization or another credential, be ready to support that specific claim. Participation in Uptime is not itself a certification or manufacturer authorization.

A workable way to receive and respond to requests

Identify who would receive new inquiries, which business number or receiving process would be used, and the hours that process is staffed.

You do not need to claim round-the-clock availability. State the hours and capacity you actually have, including whether you accept urgent repairs, scheduled work, or both.

Before routing begins, we need an agreed approach to unanswered calls, requests outside your scope, and times when your team cannot accept more work. A published phone number alone does not resolve those questions.

Responsibility for the work you accept

Your company assesses the request, confirms its availability, quotes the customer, and performs any accepted work under its own business identity and service terms.

Your company also remains responsible for the licensing, registrations, insurance, authorizations, and facility requirements applicable to the work it accepts. Be ready to discuss the relevant credentials for your service scope. An Uptime partnership does not replace the requirements of the facilities you serve.

Uptime is an independent commercial service-request and referral website—not the repair contractor. Read about Uptime's role.

Clear business details and follow-through

Provide accurate company and contact information, a service area your team can support, and someone responsible for the partnership conversation.

Once an arrangement starts, your business needs to communicate material changes in coverage, equipment capability, receiving hours, or capacity. It also needs to provide the request or job-status information relevant to the agreed reporting and payment terms.

The purpose is straightforward: keep the partnership aligned with the work your company can take and the outcomes both sides have agreed to track.

Tell us which commercial services you want to receive inquiries for

Use your first email to identify the categories your team handles. You can name a narrow specialty; you do not have to select everything below.

Scroll horizontally to view the full table.

Commercial service categories to identify in your inquiry
Service categoryScope to identify in your inquiry
Loading-dock equipmentThe dock levelers, restraints, seals, shelters, bumpers, or other loading-bay equipment you service.
Dock and warehouse doorsThe commercial sectional, rolling-steel, roll-up, or other industrial doors your team supports.
Operators and controlsThe door or dock operators and controls within your actual service capabilities.
Specialist equipmentAny high-speed, fire-rated, or other specialist equipment you support, with its specific limitations.
Accepted workUrgent repair, scheduled service, maintenance, replacement, or another activity you want included in the proposed scope.

These are categories to discuss, not a requirement to cover every service or a promise that every market produces each type of inquiry.

This partnership focuses on commercial dock and door work. Residential-only garage-door work, boat docks, and boat lifts are outside the offer. Pedestrian entry doors, truck or trailer cargo doors, parts-only orders, and structural dock-pit or concrete work are not included by default.

Send your company and service area

Email partners@uptimedockanddoor.com with the subject Commercial dock and door partnership.

Include your company name, the area you cover, the commercial equipment and work you handle, and the best person to contact. Add your website if you have one.

A short email is enough. You can copy this starting point:

Company:
Service area — city/state and nearby areas:
Commercial equipment and services we handle:
Contact name:
Website (optional):

Receiving hours, urgent versus scheduled coverage, branch details, and important exclusions are useful additions when you have them ready. You do not need to send a marketing presentation or a completed contract to start the conversation.

Email my territory and capabilities

No call booking is required to send your inquiry. If the button does not open your email app, copy partners@uptimedockanddoor.com into your usual email service.

Please leave customer lists, private job files, facility access codes, and payment details out of your first message. See our Privacy Policy for information about contact data.

Sending an inquiry does not reserve a territory, enroll your company in a paid arrangement, or authorize a change to your existing website or phone service.

What happens after you inquire

1. Establish territory and service fit

We review the operating area and capabilities you provide and clarify anything needed to assess the proposed partnership. That includes the relevant market, existing partnership scope, your equipment categories, and the work you are ready to accept.

Where there is a potential fit, the next discussion is about the actual arrangement—not a requirement to purchase a website or replace your current marketing provider.

2. Agree on the commercial and operating terms

Before a partnership starts, the written arrangement needs to identify the territory, service scope, receiving process, fees, and the event that triggers payment.

It also needs to cover any exclusivity, outcome reporting, existing customers, duplicate inquiries, and how changes or an end to the arrangement are handled. These are agreed terms, not assumptions created by a city name on a website.

For a fuller explanation of the pricing questions, see partnership pricing and payment models.

3. Confirm the receiving setup before routing starts

Confirm the business contact, receiving destination, hours, and handling of requests your team cannot accept. Any agreed call-forwarding route needs to be configured and tested before it is used for that partnership.

Your company continues to confirm the customer's location, equipment, requested work, availability, and next step. Uptime does not set your repair prices or schedule your technicians.

Questions before you apply

Can a small commercial service company apply?

Yes. Explain the territory, equipment, and workload your team can support. A small specialist does not need to describe itself as a full-service regional operator. The proposed scope should fit the actual business.

Can a residential garage-door company apply?

Yes, for commercial work it genuinely handles. Tell us about the commercial equipment and facilities your team can serve rather than describing only residential repairs.

A residential-only company is not a fit for this commercial repair partnership. Website builds are a separate offer in the partner hub.

Do I need an existing website or a new website from Uptime?

A website link is helpful, but it is optional in the initial inquiry. Buying a website from Uptime is not a condition of exploring a repair partnership. Your existing website and business identity can stay in place.

What does a partnership cost?

The proposed fee, billing event, and any other charges or commitments are set out for your arrangement before it starts. There is no single national price established by this application page.

Start with the territory and equipment you handle so the discussion concerns a specific scope rather than a generic price for “leads.”

Is this a franchise, a job application, or a subcontracting program?

No. This is a business-to-business referral partnership for an independent repair company. It does not make your company an Uptime branch or your technicians Uptime employees. Your company contracts with the customer for the repair work it accepts.

Does becoming a partner give us ownership of an Uptime metro page?

No. Uptime metro pages remain part of the Uptime website. Any provider identification, call routing, or territory rights belong in the agreed partnership terms; applying does not transfer a page, domain, or telephone number.

Can we inquire before we are ready to take additional work?

You can explain your anticipated capacity and timing in the email. Make it clear that you are not ready to receive additional requests yet. An inquiry does not activate routing or guarantee that a territory will remain available until a later date.

Start with the territory you already know

Tell us where your team works, what it services, and which commercial requests it can take. That gives us a practical starting point for discussing a partnership that fits your business.
